  1. It’s so wonderful to be seeing images, to accompany and further illuminate your excellent reports! Please know that you have avid readers out here. I particularly appreciated your reflections on the different attitudes and realities regarding privacy in your Senegalese home, versus here. Like you, I relish and feel like I need my alone time. But it’s intriguing to think that I might be able to adjust to not having it, in another context.

    Sometime, if you have time, could you share a bit about what the typical schedule in your family’s day is like — particularly, when is everyone up and when are they all in bed. What does everyone do in the evening, after dark?
